FINDING THE RIGHT PARTNER USING FENG SHUI

Is He/She "The One"?

We all ask this question before committing to a relationship (I hope). In the United States, we often meet our partners through friends, family, events, school, etc. Marriage usually occur after a couple either live together for a while or when they feel they are ready and are sure that they have met the right person. Often, however, couples ends up separating after just a short time due to some personality issues or whatever it is they think they just can't live with, etc. When couples separates (e.g., break up, divorce), not only are they affected (negatively) emotionally, but also financially. I say, we can avoid this if we can enter a relationship knowing right away that this person is "the one" based on a technique used in Feng Shui practice.

Traditional Chinese Marriage Rituals

For many years, Chinese people use matchmakers when discussing the possibility of marriage between two people. Once the proposal is accepted by both parties, the matchmaker would match the birthdates (the 8 cyclic characters for year, month, day and hour of birth) to predict the future of that couple-to-be. Based on the record and the 5 element theory (matching or conflicting), the person's character and future can be foretold. Matchmakers exists still today throughout the Southeast using the couple's Bazi charts to determine whether the marriage will be successful or not.

Finding Your Match by Activating your Tao Hua

You can find your "perfect match" using Ba Zhai and becoming familiar with the Peach Blossom Star. The term "Peach Blossom" or "Tao Hua" is derived from Chinese symbolism and poetry, which is associated with love and romance. In Feng Shui practice there are three (3) know methods of activating your Tao Hua: tapping into your Yan Nian (Ba Zhai); activate the #4 in Flying Star; and determining whether you have the Peach Blossom Star in your Bazi chart.

Method 1: Tapping into your Yan Nian

This method is perhaps the easiest technique you can use to enhance your love/relationship luck. Yan Nian is one of your eight (8) directions (Ba Zhai) based on your date of birth. To identify which sector of your home your Yan Nian is located, you need to first know your personal Gua number (or Life Gua). With your Gua number in hand, you can now identify which group you belong to: East or West Group. With this information, you can now locate your Yan Nian direction with the use of a compass or a Luo Pan. To tap into your Yan Nian, you can either position your desk so that you are facing your Yan Nian direction when sitting. You can also position your bed so that your head is pointed towards this direction when sleeping. Below is the Yan Nian directions for all eight (8) Gua Numbers.

If you can't tap into your Yan Nian based on your personal Gua Number, you can use the House Gua. To do this, you need to ascertain the facing and sitting direction of your house. Once you have the information, check against the table below to see which one of the eight types of houses corresponds with yours. Tap into the Yan Nian location of your home by spending time in the area, using that sector as your bedroom or study. Below is the Yan Nian location for the 8 types of houses.

Method 2: Tapping into the # 4

If you can't tap into your Yan Nian based on your personal Gua Number, you can use the House Gua. To do this, you need to ascertain the facing and sitting direction of your house. Once you have the information, check against the table below to see which one of the eight types of houses corresponds with yours. Tap into the Yan Nian location of your home by spending time in the area, using that sector as your bedroom or study. Below is the Yan Nian location for the 8 types of houses.

Below is a period 8 (built in 2004), facing North 1. From the image, you can see that the number 3 (Yan Nian) is towards the back of the house--the Kitchen. In this case, I would probably put my desk between the kitchen and the dining room and face my Yan Nian direction (if possible.

Method 3: Tao Hua in Bazi Chart

It is said that if you have a Tao Hua in your Bazi chart, you will be "lucky in love." If not, then, you can put it there. Do you ever wonder why some people, regardless of how unattractive they may look, they seem to attract the opposite sex, while others who are very attractive remain alone and broken hearted? Well, chances are that these people have the Tao Hua in their Bazi chart. What are the Peach Blossom Stars? You are said to have the Peach Blossom Star (or will be attractive to the opposite sex) if any of the Peach Blossoms shown in the chart below are present in your chart. For example, if you are a Rat, Monkey, or a Dragon and you have the Rooster in your chart, you can expect a life full of suitors or admirers.

Now, if you don'thave the Peach Blossom in your Bazi chart, you can place your Tao Hua (e.g., Rabbit, Horse) in its corresponding direction. For example, it is believed that if you put a figurine of Rabbit in the West sector of your home, you are activating your Peach Blossom Star. Personally, I much rather use Methods 1 and 2, but using Method # 3 will not hurt you either so go for it.
